SQREAM Scooter Camping Trip

Golden Gate State Park, CO

Our first ever scooter camping trip was way fun! We certainly know how to put the "camp" into camping. David drove his scooter up on Friday night, followed by Anthony in the sag truck filled with camping gear. They met Summer and Carol who had driven up earlier in the day to stake out our campsites. Rob drove up later Friday night but broke a drive belt on his scooter. After a friend hauled him home, he drove up later that night. Glen, Terry and Todd drove up Saturday morning and joined us for the day. We went on a 3 mile hike in the park. Todd decided to crash and spend the night. We kept him well feed and warm in Rob's extra sleeping bag. (Rob must have been feeling lucky to bring a SECOND sleeping bag just in case!) Carol kept us flaming all weekend with her knack for fires. And Todd invented a new cocktail, the "Careless Fire", a mix of Starbucks Frappicino, vodka and rum. We broke camp Sunday morning and head back down the hill into Golden.
